Historic District Guidelines & Design and Use RestrictionsThe Historic Design Guidelines for New Market are intended to be used as a community tool to assist property owners and the New Market Historic District Commission in an informed cooperative effort to protect the existing historical character of New Market. The Guidelines provide an analysis of what is special about the Town of New Market and offer direction toward enhancing and preserving those qualities. For further information the HDC/ARC process, please see the "Rules for Procedure" Neighborhood Design & Use RestrictionsEach of the neighborhoods is governed by a set of guidlines that were developed during the annexation process. These agreements cover items such as porches, decks, fences, windows, driveways, etc.
