THE TOWN OF NEW MARKET RELEASES IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE SCHOOL ZONE SPEED SAFETY PROGRAM

Be advised that the Town of New Market does not have a Police Department

NEW MARKET, MD (March 16, 2023) -The Town of New Market and the City of Frederick entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)  on the 1st day of February 2022. Through the MOU, the City of Frederick will, through the Frederick Policy Department, provide sworn police officers to review events captured by the School Zone Speed Safety Program used by the Town of New Market.   The Town of New Market contracts with Verra Mobility to administer the School Zone Speed Safety Program.

Citations are mailed from Tempe, Arizona.  If you request a hearing date to contest the liability assigned to you by the Citation then you need to do so in writing at least 5 days prior to the “Due Date” on the Citation you received to:

The Town does not accept payment for speed camera violations.  Any payments received by the Town will be returned to you.  Payments can be made online at:  Violationinfo.com.  You log in with your Citation Number and PIN referenced at the top of your Citation.  A fee may apply for online payments.  You can also pay by phone:  (1-866-790-4111), select Option 1.  A fee may apply for phone payments.  You can also mail payment to:
