If you want to get the best produce, eggs, and beef in the region for your family, all while supporting a local farmer and connecting with your community–then join the New Market CSA Program (Community Supported Agriculture)!
The 2018 CSA Program runs from May 24 – October 18, and pick-up will be every Thursday from 4-6
at The Village Potter on Main Street. To become a shareholder, just join the @NewMarketCSA Facebook group, complete the sign-up sheet posted, and send with payment to Sycamore Spring Farm for a whole season’s worth of farm grown food!
This year we will also be offering beautiful freshly baked bread from our very own Village Potter, Dan Ojeda! This is a service exclusively for CSA members! Just visit his website at: https://www.thevillagepotter.net/artisan-breads for more information.

2018 New Market Composting Program

It’s almost spring, so that means it’s the perfect time to start composting in your home! Through their Residential Composting Initiative, which launched in 2017, the Town of New Market is offering residents high-quality backyard compost bins for only $20. Out-of-town residents are also welcome to purchase a bin for only $28. These bins (seen here: http://enviroworld.ca/environmental-products/freegarden-earth) are usually priced at $80-$100, and are small enough not to be obtrusive, but large enough to contain even a year’s worth of food and yard scraps! Composting is a wonderful and easy way to reduce waste and put organic material back into the land! If you would like to request a bin, just e-mail The Green Team, Green Team Member, Michelle Corpora
at greenteamofnewmarketmd@gmail.com to be added to the list.
Pick-up dates and times will be arranged once enough requests have been recorded.
